EFolio Overview: This site is provided as an overview of my activities, skills and experiences. EFolio provides faculty, staff, and students with the opportunity to utilize the tool for a variety of purposes. A number of campus' are using the tool for assessment and standard-based evaluations. A new and improved EFolio rolled out in May and it is amazing! I am rapidly creating new training for fall semester training sessions. Can't wait for everyone to see the new EFolio MN! Soon I will be able to convert my old site to the new EFolio and have separate sites for a variety of purposes.
My site is used for both the typical electronic CV and for training purposes on our campus.
Philosophy: Distance education provides an opportunity to many that would not otherwise be able to gain valuable educational experiences. For me personally, I would never have reached a Ph.D. without Online education. Flexibility, convenience, and economic reasons are important to faculty and students who are finding safe haven in the online educational setting.
Resources: I provide faculty with an entire D2L course that has links to many resources and other items that assist in the development of highly effective online courses. I added a few of the items from the D2L course to a Google Sites collection. I selected Google Sites because it is a tool that is easy for anyone to do very simple web page creation. I also have used Google Pages for on-campus newsletters from online learning. Explore the resources provided in Google!
